Une tradition d'ouverture à l'international
Un réseau international dense.
Dès l'origine, l'IFP a joué avec l'UNESCO un rôle majeur dans la création de l'Association Internationale des Etudes et Recherches sur l'Information et la communication (AIERI). En 2007, il a organisé avec l'Université de Paris III, la conférence internationale de son 50e anniversaire à Paris.
Aujourd'hui, des échanges SOCRATES sont tissés avec de nombreuses universités européennes. Des conventions bilatérales existent également avec le Canada, les Etats-Unis, et depuis peu avec la Chine et la Colombie. L'IFP propose une formation en journalisme francophone dans les Universités de Beyrouth et du Caire. Chaque année, une dizaine d'universitaires étrangers provenant des universités européennes (Danemark, Grande-Bretagne, Norvège, Portugal, Espagne, etc.) est invitée à enseigner pour un mois ou deux à l'IFP.
L'IFP développe la formation permanente à l'étranger.
Depuis l'automne 2009, l'IFP a ouvert une formation à Casablanca en partenariat avec l'Ecole Com'Sup qui propose un Master de journalisme en formation permanente.
A rich international network.
From its inception, the IFP has been strongly involved in international scientific exchange and has played a major role in the creation, in 1957, of the International Association for Media and Communication Research. In 2007, it co-organized the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the IAMCR at the UNESCO agency in Paris.
It is an active member of the Socrates students exchange programs in Europe, as several IFP students attend communication programs in Brussels, Munich, Barcelona, Pamplona, Madrid, while the IFP receives students from these European universities.The Institute has also signed bilateral conventions with institutions in Canada, the United States and, more recently, China and Colombia. It also partakes in cooperative teaching programs in journalism with universities in Beirut and Cairo.
Furthermore, half a dozen foreign researchers from various countriesincluding a large majority from European universities in Denmark, Great Britain, Norway, Portugal, Spain, and Swedenare invited every year to teach for one or two months at the IFP.
IFP initiates a "continuing education" program.
Beginning in the Autumn of 2009, IFP will offer journalism training in Casablanca, Morocco in partnership with the École Supérieure de Commerce in the form of a continuing education Masters Program.
